Jack the miller's son has a fairly quiet life until he inherits the family cat Things quickly change with the arrival of his Aunt, Dame Hettie and the revelation that Puss can talk! Soon enough they embark on an adventure of a life time, with Puss sporting his new boots, Auntie Hettie's new business and Jack wooing Princess Alice. However they must all think quickly when the King and Queen present a noble suitor for their daughter, who has a wicked plan to take the throne for himself with the help of his two henchman and a hideous shape-shifting Ogre!
